Description
This is an image of black and white aerial photographs of the ARM CART Central Facility and surrounding area. The image is a mosaic of two aerial photographs, 8448_053 and 8448_222, acquired on Feb. 2, 1995. The image is 3600 x 2800 pixels, or 600 dpi.
Two versions were created; one is the basic image and the second has the fields marked. Low resolution samples are provided for viewing in the browser while the full resolution images can be downloaded via ftp.
Processing
The aerial photographs were scanned at 1600 dpi. One of the images was geometrically rectified to ground control points obtained by GPS. The second images was rectified to the first and then the two images were mosaiced. The resulting image was cropped to 3600 x 2800 pixels and resampled to 600 dpi. The image was then rotated one degree clockwise to convert from UTM coordinate geometry to approximate geographic coordinate geometry. Resampling at each step was performed using the nearest neighbor method.
Files
Two GIF files are available, CFaerialnotxt.gif and CFaerialwtxt.gif. The first image resembles a black and white photograph, whereas the fields have been outlined and labeled on the second image. Each image is slightly more than 8 MB.
