Giovanni
Giovanni A-Train Data Depot
This newest Giovanni instance is a Web-based graphics utility that displays co-located A-Train Data Depot (ATDD) data sets. This utility uses the latest version of Giovanni (v3) developed at the GES DISC to display CloudSat Level 1B profile data together with Aqua MODIS temperature and humidity profiles which have been co-located with the CloudSat satellite's ground track location.

HDFLook
HDFLook is a multifunctional HDF visualization tool. Even though designed for georeferencing (mapping) of MODIS and AIRS data, it may turn useful for many other products in HDF format. HDFLook is a result of joint collaboration between Laboratoire d'Optique Atmosphérique (LOA), University of Lille, France, and NASA. Created as a flexible modular tool, is it easy to update, add new features, and is free. Download from LOA. |
HDFView
HDFView is one of the many tools by the HDF group at NCSA, and its strength is that it opens HDF4 and HDF5 formats, and shows the hierarchy of all objects in very friendly format. Useful for quick preview of data as spreadsheets, even as simple line and image plots, all attributes, and all HDF-EOS structures if any. Download from NCSA. |
